New question, how much trouble would it be to update to the 412 program? Any thoughts?

I would imagine the update is not unlike what is done on all the 308's with the same dilemma. Check my FAQ here: http://www.nwrfca.org/faq/308parkinglights.htm

I was close!

Jacques
Well I was close to having the problem right and certainly got you to look in the correct location. My car is in the storage garage rather than the work garage at the moment. If someone does not beat me too it with measurements and a picture I will get it for you next weekend.

Wink Headlight wiring modifacation

Thanks to f355 spider, I will be msaking this modifacation this coming winter. I have some interior work to be completed so that will be the time to tear into the electrical as well. i will be updating the fuse and relay board at the same time.

pop up

Hi, I encounter this problem : headlamps and high beams illuminate, but the lamps do not pop up. It used to but now it does not, both sides. (In case it happens to anyone else during a trip, there is an emergency solution : the book shows how to manually operate the popping up, there is something to screw close to the lamps, easy to find ). Thks in advance. Olivier

Headlamps

Hi Olivier. There is a manual adjustment knob on the end of each headlamp motor made for moments just like this..It is made to turn in either direction for either up or down. You turn it in the direction required until you reach full retraction or full raise position...Now..be sure to reference mark your starting point so that you will be able to have a reasonable starting point to return to once you have dicovered and corrected to issue.. Now.. think small. You own two Jags..Start with the relays..all three I believe are the same, so start swapping around. If this solves the problem, great.. If not, try the column lever knob. You just may have the notorius loose solder joints inside the knob. Ken has written some excellent posts on this very issue. If this doesn't work, then let's meet at The Louvre for wine, and we'll solve this problem....Don't make me come over there!! PM me . Jacques.

Thks

Dear Jacques, good to hear from you. Thanks for the ideas you submitted. Since there were several relays and the issue concerned both sides I had discarded the relays option but I'll dig back into it. The column lever knob is also something I am to investigate as well, probably first. I hope I see you soon in Paris.
Olivier
addendum : I'll soon write something about tuning the injection mixture. I had it done on the car and it has greatly improved the power and the balance between the two sides.
